Timeless Weatherproof Protection

Our Shipyard Waxed Canvas Jacket is made from traditional waxed cotton canvas. Tried and true, it’s the original waterproof material, revered by generations of loggers, explorers and seafaring folk whose lives depended on staying dry and warm in the fiercest conditions.

When we designed this jacket, we didn’t mess around. We got our tough, water-resistant waxed canvas from British Millerain, the legendary manufacturer of waxed cotton whose roots go back even further than ours. Using double- and triple-needle stitching, we built in reinforced pockets, a Danner suede collar and pocket bindings, and a custom metal shank button front, and then we lined the whole thing with durable twill. The result? A rugged, timeless classic you can count on for the long haul.

Waxed Cotton Canvas
Waxed cotton canvas not only enhances durability and weather resistance but also ensures a unique evolution with wear. Over time, the fabric develops a distinct patina, reflecting the wearer's individual journey and experiences. As the waxed surface ages, it gains character and charm, further enhancing the garment's rugged aesthetic while maintaining its protective qualities.
Double/Triple Needle Stitching
Double and triple needle stitching ensures durability and resilience, essential for enduring the challenges of outdoor and work settings. With multiple threads working in tandem, these reinforced seams provide strength and resistance to wear and tear, while enhancing longevity.
Sewn in the USA
Every piece of clothing in our 1932 Collection is proudly sewn from top to bottom, inside and out in our USA—based factories with quality materials from around the world. What’s more, this collection of apparel is extra special: It celebrates our brand’s legacy that spans nine decades. To this day, our commitment to superior craftsmanship remains unchanged. We continue to craft high quality products, using the best possible materials we can find, to create a product built to last.
Flat Felled Seams
Flat felled seams not only provide durability but also offer supreme comfort, making them perfect for outdoor and work environments. By securely encapsulating raw edges within multiple layers of fabric, these seams ensure longevity while also minimizing irritation against the skin.
Waxed Classic
When it comes to braving the elements, nothing says rugged durability like traditional waxed cotton canvas. Tried and true, it’s the original waterproof material, revered by generations of loggers, explorers and seafaring folk hellbent on staying dry and warm.
Danner 1932 Collection
Inspired by the rugged spirit of the Pacific Northwest, the timeless pieces in our 1932 Collection are built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors and meet the practical needs of loggers, shipyard workers, our own factory craftspeople—and you. Like the boots that bear our name, this apparel collection is Danner through and through.
365-Day Warranty
