Honoring the nostalgic design, but completely reengineered and modernized, the Mountain Moc 917 is cutting edge, comfortable and recraftable. Built with waterproof suede, full-grain leather, hand-stitched details and a GORE-TEX waterproof liner, the Mountain Moc 917 is ready for both urban and outdoor adventures. A renowned cushioning platform, the Vibram® SPE midsole provides a quick break-in period and instant comfort. A versatile Vibram® 917 outsole features XS Trek compound for grip across concrete or slick trails.

- Removable OrthoLite Footbed
- Multiple layers of varying density are combined for maximum cushioning and support. The entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation.
- Vibram® SPE Midsole
- This rubberized EVA midsole maintains the same cushioning properties as traditional EVA, but is more durable and won’t break down as easily. This technology enhances rebound, comfort and support.
- Vibram® 917 Outsole
- Exclusive outsole for Danner featuring XS Trek rubber compound for an optimal balance of durability and traction in wet conditions on the trail or city streets.
- Modernized Stitchdown Construction
- Combines our traditional stitchdown technique with cup sole construction that allows the boot to keep a wider platform while eliminating the need for a buffed sidewall. This gives our sneaker boots a modern aesthetic and lightweight, flexible finish.
- Recraftable
- Extend the life of your boot with our recrafting services. Please note we are unable to replace the liner on this style due to the more sleek and minimal outsole construction. This boot is eligible for a boot stretch, basic and resole packages. See our Recrafting page.
